Swa. Kanji Karshan Halai Education and Charitable Trust of Kera village in Kutch district has been established in 2008 by Shri. Jagdishbhai Devjibhai Halai and Smt. Kantaben Jagdishbhai Halai in memory of his grand father Swa. Kanji Karshan Halai. The trust is fully devoted to the noble cause of the spreading education in the region. The to form an educational trust was a dream of Swa. Kanji Halai who wanted to do something for the society and his great grandson Shree. Jagdish Devji Halai materialized his dream by providing his huge share of his property for this noble cause.

Kanji Karshan Halai Education and Charitable Trust is equally and strongly committed to the philosophy of offering technology centered education routed in the ideas of charity and philanthropy. The establishment of HJD Institute of Technical Education and Research by the trust bears testimony to this belief.
