About Department

The Department of Computer Science & Engineering of HJD Institute of Technical Education and Research, Kutch was established in 2010 which is committed to provide a Challenging Learning and Research Environment so that each student develops his own understanding of discipline.

The goal of the department is to Establish State-of-the-Art Computing Environment to develop Competent Computer Engineers with the spirit of Professionalism and Responsible Citizenship. Department has well qualified and experienced Faculties having valuable Academic and Industrial Experience which adds into Teaching-Learning Experience.

The Department has continuously upgraded the infrastructure according to the changing needs. Considering industry requirements, various software tools and appropriate equipments are used in laboratories for practice. We have 11 computer laboratories with highly configured 300 computer systems with high speed Internet facility. We are providing technical skills based on Open Source Learning Environment too. Wi-Fi Campus facility provided to the students and Libraries are enriched with Heap of Books and good collection of reputed International and National Journals, Magazines and E-books. Department having Nodal Center of “Virtual Labs” and “Spoken Tutorial” projects offered by IIT-Bombay for improving the practical skills of the students suggested by GTU and MHRD, India.

Campus-wide collaborations with Industries, aided in bridging the gap between academics and industry. Most of our BE projects are Industry Sponsored (IDP) chosen by final year students to deal with practical issues/problems in society, Workshops and Experts’ lectures provide students, faculties with excellent exposure to world of practice. Our students imprinted their success in Smart India Hackathon, Gujarat Hackathon,  Many of our students are placed in well-known IT industries like E-Infochips, Cloudplus Techonologies, Confidosoft, Arakay Apps and many more.
