Introduction

Navy NCC was started at HJD Institute for Technical Education & Research in the year 2017 with cadet strength of 44. Training is conducted regularly which includes march past and basic standing drill. Lectures are also conducted based on service subjects that gives knowledge about Naval vessels and techniques used in Indian Navy. Along with this, lectures are also given based on National Integration and awareness, Unity and Discipline, Role of NCC in nation Building and Swachta Mission. Firing Range is inaugurated at the campus by Additional Directorate General which is capable of providing firing training to 5 cadets at a time. The institute has taken an initiative of opening a Naval Corner as well as Defense corner which contains informative books on “How to join Defense services”. The corner gives knowledge about role of Armed forces in National security and motivates them to pursue career in the same.of their own.

Motive

To create defense environment and motivated the young minds. Besides having defense training, cadets also have active participation in social services. Cadets are taken for ship visit to have an onboard experience of working of Indian Navy. NCC not only helps in motivating students about Armed Forces but also creates overall development in them as an individual.
