HJD Institute of Technical Education & Research, Kutch is having a very good sports facility & atmosphere for sports activities because of visionary chairman Dr. Jagdish Halai. The institute is having separate ground for Kho-Kho, Kabaddi, Volleyball, Handball, Cricket, Basketball and Football. The institute is also having indoor games facility like carom, chess, table tennis and arm wrestling. All the playgrounds are well maintained and always ready to use.

- Institute also hosts various events of GTU SPIRIT. In Spirit-2013, institute hosted Football (Boys) at inter zonal level successfully. In Spirit-2014, institute successfully hosted Kho-Kho (Boys), Volleyball (Girls) and Handball (Boys & Girls) at zonal level. In Spirit-2015, hosted Handball (Boys & Girls) at zonal level. In Spirit-2016, our institute hosted Handball (Boys & Girls). In Spirit-2017, Kabaddi and Handball events successfully organized.
- Institute has also organized district level Volleyball (Boys) in year 2018 and 2019, state level Handball (Girls) Khel Mahakumbh tournament in 2018. The institute always encourages students to participate in sports activities.
- Institute also started hosting HJD Sports League since 2018 to encourage and to provide platform to the students of Kutch district. Games like Circle Cricket, Volleyball, Kabaddi, Tug of war and Chess are included in the event.
